***AWFUL AND HEARTBREAKING***  AN ENTIRE FAMILY IS CRUSHED UNDER THE RUBBLE OF THEIR HOME. WOMEN AND CHILDREN. SOME ARE STILL ALIVE. Homs (Rastan): July 15, 2012 - Assad’s forces launched a strike against this home. It housed a family. Moments after the hit, locals enter the home to find a dazed elderly woman emerging.

As they entire the demolished home, still enveloped in a hellish haze of dust they find a child frozen in time and motionless, the resemblance to the victims of the Pompeii Volcano disaster nearly 2000 years ago is uncanny. 

A woman nearby, maybe his mother, starts to stir, she too is crushed and covered in dust. A little girl nearby is also laying motionless just as the boy (maybe her brother) is. Locals help the woman to her feet as another man picks up the girl.

Those that survived this attack will be taken to a cramped, dirty and totally inadequate field hospital that was converted from a regular residential apartment. 

This is the fate of thousands of Syrian women and children each day.

More children are brought to a make-shift clinic in this video.
