Aleppo (Citadel): Aug 5, 2012 - The oldest inhabited city on Earth continues to be shelled by Assad’s forces. Too weak to enter the area’s of the city that the FSA has liberated, they shell from the Artillery School miles away and dive-bomb using fighter jets.
Now as the battle approaches the ancient citadel, Assad’s forces will have no second-thoughts on shelling the ancient castle, just as they did in Hama to the Qala’at Madiq (Madiq Castle), which is the only inhabited ancient castle on Earth and the Krak des Chevaliers (The Impregnable Fortress) in Homs, which is a Crusader-era castle.
