Homs (Khalidiyeh): Aug 13, 2012 - When people took to the streets of Syria to demand their god-given right to freedom and justice, they knew that Assad’s response would be brutal, however no man or woman could have ever imagined this. This city of a million people, completely destroyed, de-populated and desecrated.
Homs is a ghost town. Only a few brave souls and those too poor to flea remain. Their only company are the rotting corpses in the streets.
