Homs (Rastan): Aug 23, 2012 - This video, more than most has been one of the saddest and most heartbreaking videos I’ve seen in a long while. Murad Shamier’s parents are mourning over his body. He was just killed by Assad’s forces as they continued shelling this town for months on end.
The father cannot, will not, believe that his son is dead. He is so overcome with grief that he finally collapses to the ground. Murad’s mother is no better. She seems to be in denial that her son is going. She shakes him, she squeezes his … she’s trying to wake him up from his eternal slumber.
This is a truly sad video. This is what every parent across Syria, at least the ones that survived, feels. This is what the parent of Syria experience every single day.
