Apr 10, 2013 - This town was one of the very first, literally, to rise up and speak out against the Assad regime more than 2 years ago. Locals took to the streets in solidarity with their fellow citizens in the city of Daraa … at first they did not call for the downfall of the regime, they called for the ‘reform of the regime’. For that ‘crime’ they were shot at and killed as Assad’s thugs fired on their protest.
Now, 2 years later this is what the regime is resorting too. The same tactics it has used across the country. Massacres. At least 60 men, women and children were murdered by Assad’s forces. All were wither shot in the head or butchered with knives.
At first ‘only’ 15 bodies were brought in, mostly men and at least 4 children, one of them an infant girl. All were either shot execution style or had their throats slit.
Then more and more bodies were brought in ….
Activists film the bodies again and describe what happened …
