NO ONE CAN REST IN PEACE IN ASSAD’S SYRIA. NOT EVEN THE DEAD. Homs (Bab Siba’a): Jan 19, 2013 - For more than 20 days these two men have been laying dead in the street. One was horrifically killed as you can see, the top half of his skull was blown off. The other man was shot dead by a sniper.
The cameraman tells us that they have been unable to retrieve the bodies since Assad’s forces shoot at them every-time they go near. The contacted the Syrian Red Crescent, an organization controlled by the Assad regime and asked them to come collect the bodies, however they said (off-record) that they are too scared themselves to do the job of collecting the bodies as they fear being shot by Assad’s forces, since close to 10 Red Cross volunteers have been killed by Assad’s forces in the last year alone.
This is Asasd’s Syria …
Thanks @LccSy
***HEARTBREAKING*** THE FAMILY OF HOMSI CITIZEN-JOURNLAIST SAMEER SHALAB AL SHAAM (ABU-LAILA) SAY FARWELL. HE IS BURED WITH HIS CAMERA. Homs (Bab Sibaa): Apr 15, 2012 - Incredibly sad. It seems like in the past month Syria has lost more citizen journalists that at any other point during the 13 month long revolution. He is married with 2 children.
People such as Abu Laila lay their lives on the line, and pay the ultimate price to show the world what Assad is doing to the men, women and children of Syria. Without people like him, the revolution would have been ‘Dead on Arrival’ that fateful day in Daraa when the first martyrs fell more than a year ago …
Thanks @Mou2amara
***EXTREMELY GRAPHIC & DISTURBING*** A MAN HAS HIS FACE BLOWN OFF BY ASSAD’S FORCES. Homs (Bab Sibaa): Apr 1, 2012 - I’ve had many people ask me why I post such graphic videos and images, that it’s very disturbing to them etc … This is what life is like in Syria, there is no reason or way to “sugar-coat” it. This is what life and death looks like when a tyrant massacres his own people.
This man was not afforded the right to die with dignity in a free country. So the least we can do is show the world how brutally he died for the right to live in freedom. We owe it to all of Syria’s martyrs.
Thanks @arwamenla
“WAKE UP MOTHER! WAKE UP! TALK TO ME!” - A SON CRIES TO HIS DEAD MOTHER. Homs (Bab Sibaa): Mar 22, 2012 - Barea Rasmi Haddad’s son weeps over the body of his mother, killed when Assad’s forces mercilessly pounded their home with Russian made and supplied shells.
Thanks @ahmed
AS THE WORLD FORGETS HOMS AND THE MASSACRES COMMITTED THERE BY ASSAD’S FORCES - THE SHELLING CONTINUES … Homs (Bab Sibaa): Mar 19, 2012 - The attack has not stopped, what was started in Baba Amro continues across the city of Homs, the capital of the Syrian Revolution. Russian made and supplied shells continue to to fall across the city on the homes of unarmed and innocent Syrians.
This is what Bab Dreib looks like now after the shelling.
Thanks @ahmed
THE NON-STOP SHELLING OF HOMS CONTINUES. Homs (Bb Sibaa): Mar 16, 2012 - Assad’s forces have not stopped their shelling of Homs. Bashar Al Assad’s Russian-backed forces continue their massacre of Hom’s men, women and children.
Russia continues to supply weapons to Assad to kill Syrians and the world continues to watch.
***GRAPHIC*** MORE BODIES FOUND IN ASSAD’S MASSACRE ON CIVILLIANS. Homs (Bab Sibaa): Mar 11, 2012 - In what has been a morbid and heart-wrenching day, we see yet another video of more bodies from a massacre committed by Assad’s forces.
Bashar Al Assad is forcefully “cleansing” the city of Homs from everyone but his supporters. This is genocide. Call it what you want but this is it. The thing that was “never going to happen again” is happening before our eyes.
Homs needs arms to defend itself.
WHAT DID YOU HAVE TO DO TO GET YOUR LAST DRINK OF WATER? Homs (Bab Sibaa): Mar 1, 2012 - This is what the people of Homs have to do … melt snow in pots and pans in order to quench their thirst. Assad has cut off all water, electricity, food supplies, medicine and anything else you could think of to add to the misery of daily bombings, shelling, mortar attacks, snipers and massacres.
Revolting: present participle of re·volt (Verb): To rise in rebellion.
Syrians are revolting against the Assad regime. This is their story, their fight for freedom and justice against tyranny and oppression.
