THE BATTLE FOR AL-ATAREB IN ALEPPO. ASSAD’S FORCES HAVE BEEN ATTACKING THIS TINY TOWN FOR MONTHS YET CANNOT MAKE IT’S RESIDENTS BOW TO ASSAD. Aleppo (Al-Atareb): May 29, 2012 - This town is no larger than one square kilometer. It lies about 25km west of Aleppo city and is on the road to Idleb, where the FSA has it’s strongest presence in Syria.

This town has been through hell. They have been occupied on several occasions, suffered brutal assaults by Russian helicopter gunships and have been shelled constantly for months. Yet Assad’s forces cannot take the town.

A LITTLE BOY IS SHOT AND KILLED BY ASSAD’S SNIPERS IN COLD BLOOD ON THE STREETS. HIS LAST MOMENTS ALIVE. Damascus (Al-Assali): May 27, 2012 - His name is Ammar Mohammed. May he rest in peace and may Assad, his forces and his supporters burn in hell for their support in the murdering of Syria’s children.

Hama (Janoob Al Mala’ab): May 27, 2012 - Scenes of chaos, despair, fear and death. This is what Assad specializes in. These people laying about the floor. The men and the children. These are Assad’s enemies. These are the people Assad and his supporters wish to wipe off the face of the earth so that they can enjoy their spoils of raping a country for their own benefit.

***HAMA MASSACRE*** BODIES LAY IN WAIT FOR THEIR BURIAL AFTER ASSAD’S FORCES SHELL THE TOWN - ALL THEY CAN DO IS STACK ICE BLOCKS ON THEM. Hama (Janoob Al Mala’ab): May 27, 2012 - Prominent activist Khaled Abu Salah said “Soon we will stop counting the dead and instead be counting the massacres”. This is the way it is looking. There are so many dead across Syria now. 

A new massacre everyday.

More bodies pile up in the same room.

Dead bodies are everywhere, mixed with the injured and the dying.

***VERY GRAPHIC*** THE BABY FROM THE MASSACRE OF THE AL SALEEM FAMILY (MOTHER + 5 CHILDREN) HAS BEEN FOUND. DEAD. Hama: May 26, 2012 - Little Yacoub Areeb Al Saleem was the youngest of five children to be murdered by Assad’s forces. His body was found a few days after the rest of his family.

They were stopped at a checkpoint in Hama and abducted then slaughtered. Assad’s forces did this in order to incite sectarian revenge and ignite a civil war. Something they desperately want to happen in order to fit their narrative of ‘fighting islamists’

***HOULA MASSACRE*** BODIES RIPPED TO SHREDS IN THE ROCKET ATTACK THAT PRECEDED THE DOOR TO DOOR BUTCHERING. Homs (Houla): May 25, 2012 - Assad and his forces knew exactly what the were doing when the genocide was ordered against the people of Houla.

Their objective is to ignite a sectarian civil war after similar efforts in previous massacres (Karam Al Zeitoun, Baba Amr, Jabal Al Zawaya, Jisr Al Shughour, Addawia Latamneh, Mashaa al-Tayyar, Soran, Khan Shaikoun … ) failed to provoke the wide-spread revenge attacks that would have played into the regime’s narrative of events that are happening on the ground.

Who is going to try and reason with the mother and fathers. The brothers and sisters of the children massacred, butchered and slaughtered in this massacre? Who is going to tell them to not seek revenge?

***SUMMARY OF EVENTS IN ALEPPO*** TENS OF THOUSANDS OF UNARMED SYRIANS RALLY ON THIS FRIDAY - ASSAD’S FORCES USE THE SAME LETHAL RESPONSE. Aleppo: May 25, 2012 - Thousands rallied across Syria’s largest city in unity calling for freedom and against Assad. Five of those protesters were murdered including a 12 year old and another boy in 11th grade, dozens or perhaps hundreds more were arrested and taken to Assad’s dungeons.

Assad’s forces start the day by charging at a crowd of peaceful protesters and open fire on protesters in Salah Al Din.

Ten’s of thousands turn out for a funeral later in the day for 12 year old Amir Barakat who was shot and killed by Assad’s forces earlier in the day for protesting. In the Words of @AmalHanao “After a day of protesting 12-year-old Amir Barakat returns to his neighborhood Al-Kallaseh, in a coffin”. Mourners first began to gather in-front of his house as the news of his death spread. More video of his funeral.

Mohammed Tawut is shot and killed by Assad’s forces in Bustan Al Qasr. In this video protesters are not yet sure who he is as he just died.

The town of Al-Bab also had unprecedented numbers come out today.

The northern suburb of Anadaan, which faced a brutal assault by Assad’s forces a few weeks ago also came out to protest.

Even further North in Tel Riffa’at the brave came out to protest. This small town witnessed a horrible massacre and a full blitzkrieg by Assad’s forces by land and air as punishment for their continued protests against Assad only a few weeks, in one such case a whole family was burned alive in their home.

ASSAD’S FORCES KILLED THEIR FATHER. NOW THEY SHELLED HIS GRAVE. EVEN IN DEATHT THEY WILL NOT LET HIM REST IN PEACE. Homs (Jobar): May 25, 2012 - The child explains how his father was killed by Assad’s forces in Baba Amr, Homs and how the grave of his father (behind him) was also shelled.

If Assad could kill every Syrian twice, he would.

Mohammed Rahman Sohail says he witnessed Assad regime forces corner men before 83 of them were gunned down.

 Crouching in a gap between two grey boulders, Mohammed Rahman Sohail first heard the screams of defiance, then the machine guns opening up.  

Down the valley, around 300 metres away, he could make out about 100 men like him hiding behind jagged rocks, desperately trying to outmanoeuvre the turrets pointing their way.  

The tanks and men with machine guns had moved out from nearby villages and readied themselves on the high ground, herding their captives like dogs corralling stock to this small forsaken valley on a mountain plateau in northern Syria.  

With the men trapped below, gunmen loyal to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad walked steadily around the ridge until every man beneath them had no chance of escape.

Hama: May 20, 2012 - We are told that Mohamed Abdul-Kareem Hamoud later died from the injuries suffered in the attack. Assad’s forces fired a Russian made and supplied tank shell at this man.

The man at the end of the video is different patient, presumably from the same attack.

A BODY LAY IN THE STREET FOR MONTHS - IT IS PRACTICALLY DECOMPOSING AWAY INTO THE STREET. Homs (Qusoor): May 20, 2012 - Amid the destruction and sounds of sniper-fire the cameraman zooms in on a body laying the street of this besieged neighborhood. It has been there for months, no one is able to remove this tormented soul as Assad’s snipers have positioned themselves to shoot anyone that approaches the body.

In life they gave this man no freedom and no dignity. In death they attempt to do the same.
