AN UNBELIEVABLY DEVASTATING VIDEO OF WHAT LIFE IS LIKE IN ALEPPO. “Aleppo - A City Engulfed In Civil War”

If you are to watch one video of what life is like in the city of Aleppo, watch this. You do not need to understand any spoken language to feel what these people are feeling.

The first segment shows the aftermath of an airstrike on a building. A young man’s family members have just been killed. There are no rescue crews, just residents with buckets of water to put out the fire and help the young man remove the bodies of his relatives and take them straight to the cemetery to be buried. All within an hour a man’s life is forever changes, his home is bombed by Assad’s forces, his family killed, then buried with a small ceremony.

In the second segment we see the FSA in the old city of Aleppo, now destroyed by the constant bombing and fighting. 

Next we witness daily life at Dar Al Shifa hospital. This hospital was bombed a few weeks ago and no longer exists. Some 40 people were killed including a few medics and nurses. Dr Osman (speaking the video) was not injured.

The last segment is one of the hardest to watch. People in Aleppo begging for food and at the mercy of the kindness of others. Even when people pay for food, they must beg for … think about that, they beg to pay for a few slices of bread, because there is almost none in the city as supplies of flour have been cut. 

You can help. You don’t just have to watch, feel pity (if any) and move on. You can spare a dollar, dirham, dinar, peso or anything to ensure that these people eat another meal … and by meal i mean a slice of bread.

What the people of Syria need the most right now from their fellow human beings is more than compassion or tears. The need material help in order to survive. In many parts of the country there is no food, water, shelter, electricity,  basic medicine or doctors. The people are literally surviving on the mercy of the elements while at the same time enduring some of the most horrific violence by the Assad regime.   

Spreading awareness about what is happening to the people in Syria is only one small and minor part in aiding the people of Syria against the tyranny of the Assad regime.
