“The revolutionaries of Qusayr are the victors.”
Thanks @SyrianSmurf
THE CAMERA IS MIGHTIER THAN THE GUN. EVEN IN THE HANDS OF A YOUNG BOY. Daraa (City): May 21, 2013 - Assad’s sniper shot Omar Haitham Qateefan in the head and killed him. He was 14 years old. He worked as a media activist in the town of Daraa, attempting to show the world what Assad has done to Syria and it’s people.
Assad considers the camera more lethal than any weapon.
Thanks @ANA_Feed
To my knowledge, Omar is the youngest journalist to have been murdered by Assad’s forces to date.
This was Omar before he was shot. Doing what he wanted to do …

***GRAPHIC*** TWO SISTERS, SALAM & TASNEEM, HAVE THEIR HEADS BLOWN OFF BY ASSAD’S FORCES. Daraa (Tafas): May 20, 2013 - Salam and Tasneem Abu Shanab are two little girls that head their heads blown off by Assad’s forces. Salam is one month old. Her name means peace. Tasneem is 2 years old. She was named after a fountain (spring) in heaven.
This is how their parents must see their two little daughters for the last time.
Here is a list of 7 other little girls who have been decapitated by Asasd’s forces in the last year.
Thanks @LccSy
A fantastic peice by @saroujah, definitely worth a read.

Few things are as thoroughly demoralising as arguing with a close family member over the revolutionary events currently gripping Syria. This was made even clearer to me after an extended period of not having discussed the issue with said family member. Our initial discussion took place shortly after the revolution broke out; it was still in its nascent stages, but there was already a sense of palpable tension in the air.
More recently, we were engaged in a heated, contentious debate over possible solutions to the Syrian revolution, but how can you even begin to have a proper discussion on this uprising when the other side won’t acknowledge that there is a legitimate, active movement in place to begin with?
After over two years of feeling completely outcast on the issue among most members of my family, this acrimonious state of loggerheads between myself and one of my closest and most admired mentors is perhaps the most lamentable fracturing of a previously cherished relationship that I’ve experienced since the outbreak of the Syrian revolution.
This relative made a few revealing – and fallacious – comments regarding not just the revolutionary activities of Syrians in protest of Bashar Al-Assad’s sadistically violent campaign of repression, but also about the perceived practicalities of these forms of resistance and their subversive nature. I feel these points need to be addressed, regardless of how imbecilic, patriarchal, and orientalist, as these are views which have been so frequently echoed by some of the more cynical (and, let’s face it, bourgeois) strain of Syria observers, irrespective of how well-meaning they think they are.

HEZBULLAH’S FORCES CONTINUE THEIR GROUD ATTACK. ASSAD’S FORCES CONTINUE THEIR AIR ATTACK. Homs (Qusayr): May 22, 2013 - If Qusayr was on the coast, Assad would find a way to attack it from that angle as well. The Assad regime, along with Hezbullah and Iran, with weapons supplied by Russia are desperate to take this tiny town by any means, even it means that there is nothing left of it to take.
This was a video from yesterday.
People start to dig out the bodies of their family members and neighbors after the air-strike above. At least 10 people were killed in this strike alone, including (from the video) 1 woman and 5 children.
Thanks @HadiAlabdallah
A message from the town of Kafranbel to all revolutionaries: “Whoever wants his dignity should take his weapons to Al-Qusayr, and cut his love for money and authority”
Thanks @NMSyria
ANOTHER CHILD IS MURDERED BY THE BRUTAL ASSAD REGIME. Hama (Al Zakaa): May 20, 2013 - Mustapha Al Hawi was killed when Assad’s forces shelled his home. He’s one of almost 10,000 children that Assad’s forces have killed since March 2011.
Thanks @SyriaDayof Rage
Qusayr, Homs (Syria) wil be the end of Hezbullah. Whether or not Assad and Nasrallah win this specific battle for this tiny town (which in military terms, is not strategic, no matter what Assad’s forces say).
May 20, 2013 - The liberated city of Raqqa is not liberated yet. Assad’s airforce still strikes the town at will. They do this every single day. The purpose? To kill. Nothing else. There is no military strategy or tactic or even reason to do this. It’s just plain terror.
AMong the victims are 7 children and their mother. All refugees from Dier Ezzor. See the full report on the massacre here.
Some of the victims. Most are children, piles of flesh and bone.
More gruesome video
Thanks @EatinMyPeaz @Lccsy
***GRAPHIC*** TWO BOYS ARE AMONG THE LATEST VICTIMS OF ASSAD & HEZBULLAH’S ATTACK ON THIS TOWN. Homs (Qusayr): May 21, 2013 - There are an estimated 20,000 civilians trapped in this small town. Half of them are children. They are surrounded by Assad’s forces, Hezbullah mercenaries and the ultra-sectarion ‘National Defense Forces’.
The world will sit by idly and watch as these Iranian and Russian backed forces obliterate the town and everyone in it.
One of the boys in the video was blown in half. Asasd’s supporters will call him a ‘terrorist’ that deserved to die.
Thanks @Brown_Moses
The sky over Qusayr, Homs (Syria) last night as Asasd / Hezbullah & Iranian forces continued their barbaric assault on the small town.
@TheMoeDee
ALMOST A YEAR AGO ASSAD’S FORCES SLAUGHTERED 100 WOMEN & CHILDREN HERE. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Homs (Houla): May 16, 2013 - Only the weapon has changed. Instead of being slaughtered with knives and axes the women and children of Houla are being shelled every single day. This is just one family, an entire family, that was killed in an instant by Assad’s forces.
Thanks @SyriaDayofRage
LONG AFTER ASSAD’S BOMBS HAVE FALLEN, HE WILL STILL KILL YOU. HOUSE COLLAPSES ON RESCUERS. Idleb (Salqeen): May 17, 2013 - After a brutal attack on this town, the residents rush to the scene of the strike as they always do, pulling out bodies from under the rubble with their bare hands. The buildings they enter are unstable and dangerous, yet they still do it.
Here we can see the building collapse and crush some of the rescuers. I do not know if any of them were killed or not.
Thanks @ANA_Feed

An excellent peice by Wissam Al Jazairy … For non Arabs, this is a map of Occupied Palestine (Israel) and it shows “Qusayr” as the capital of Israel with the insignia of Hezbullah in the top left corner.
Hezbullah is currently leading an attack against the people of Qusayr, which is in Homs, Syria.
THE BATTLE OF QUSAYR CONTINUES TO RAGE. ACTIVIST HADI AL ABDUALLAH IS ALMOST KILLED WHILE FILMING. Homs (Qusayr): May 20, 2013 - As Hezbullah and Assad’s Iranian backed forces continue to obliterate the town, the FSA, who have no similar back whatsoever continue to put up a fight. You can see at 3:45 as Hadi and his cameraman move from one building to another, a shell hits their position, missing them by a few seconds, yet killing at least one FSA fighter.
Thanks @HadiAlabdallah
