THIS POOR KID IS ONLY GETTING A TASTE OF THE HELL THAT HE IS ABOUT TO ENDURE. BEATEN SENSELESS ON THE STREET BY ASSAD’S GANGS. Aleppo (Salah Al Din): May 25, 2012 - In a day of massive protests across Aleppo, 5 were murdered and hundreds were taken prisoner for peacefully protesting. This kid is only getting a sampling of the barbaric hell that his captors are going to put him through when he is thrown into Assad’s dungeon’s
JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — He was arrested from his home at 2 a.m.; insulted and mocked by the interrogators for being Palestinian; severely tortured during interrogation; chained to a hospital bed by his hands and feet and denied medical care despite his illness – a pattern drearily familiar to Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails.
There is a small twist in the tale, though. The Palestinian protagonist of this story — Marxist intellectual and dissident Salameh Kaileh — was arrested, tortured and eventually deported by the Syrian regime which has long portrayed itself as a champion of the Palestinian cause and the bulwark of resistance to Zionism and imperialism.
In the early hours of April 24, undercover Syrian intelligence officers stormed Kaileh’s house in Barzeh, a neighborhood in Damascus, and arrested him. His lawyer Anwar Bunni, human rights attorney at the Syrian Center for Legal Studies and Research, said Kaileh was arrested from his home “without explanation” and that his arrest is yet another attempt at “muzzling” freedom of expression in Syria.
After spending almost three weeks in incommunicado detention, Kaileh was released and forcibly transferred to Jordan on the eve of Nakba Day. In an interview he gave in Jordan after his deportation, Salameh Kaileh spoke out about the appalling conditions he was subjected to during his time in the Air Force Intelligence Branch in Al Umawiyin district and the military hospital.
Salama Keela, a Palestinian, an Arab, a Marxist, an anti-Zionist and an anti-imperialist, had been living in Syria up till a few weeks ago after having been uprooted from occupied Palestine in the late 70s. He is known to always be principled and straight up having never compromised nor bowed down to pressures. When the Assad regime jailed him few weeks ago in Syria , there was an uproar to his arrest, petitions were signed, some alternative Arab media covered his arrest in shock (Al-Akhbar and Angry Arab blog). Keela was exiled a second time from his second home Syria to Jordan where he revealed in detail the ordeals of his arrest, the reasons behind it, how he was tortured, beaten, how he was forced to pee on himself and watch two of his mates die in front of his eye due to torture in a hospital.
The whole story was disturbing but the account he gave of his hospital stay was the most chilling. There have been many stories of Syrians being killed, tortured, humiliated, and treated in the most inhumane ways while in government hospitals. Only those of us who care about the revolution believed these stories, the doubters, cynics, sectarians, and/or regime/resistance supporters all denied/down played the horror taking place even when faced with evidence whether it be youtube videos or Amnesty reports. These doubters would either pull the “how can you know this is not fabricated” excuse or in the case of staunch Palestinian supporters who blog for Al-Akhbar what is happening in syria is nothing more than a conspiracy with hollywood special effects !!
Syrian army and security officers with the help of Iranian mercenaries have been torturing children with impunity during the past year. There have also been cases documented of children who were shot while in their homes or on the street. Syrian Human Rights Activists told me that they have seen the government use schools as detention centers, military bases or barracks and children have been arrested from their schools!
I believe that this horrible human rights violations done by Al-Assad thugs must be stopped as soon as possible.
We need a real/responsible action guys.

THE YOUNGEST PRISONER IN SYRIA: Adam Ali Hamada, two years old. Arrested in the suburbs of Damascus (Aqraba) on 12/5/2012
A prominent journalist has told Amnesty International how Syrian government forces tortured and detained him in deplorable conditions before deporting him to Jordan on Monday.
Salameh Kaileh, a 57-year-old Jordanian national of Palestinian descent, has lived and worked in the Syrian capital Damascus since 1981.
On 24 April, plain clothes officials from Syria’s Air Force Intelligence arrested him during a raid on his flat in Barzah, a Damascus suburb. Amnesty International considered him to be a prisoner of conscience, held solely for exercising his right to freedom of expression.
“The main reason for my arrest, from what I understood, is a conversation I had on Facebook with a friend outside Syria about my position on the revolution and my opinion about the Muslim Brotherhood and so on,” Kaileh told Amnesty International.

AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE - BODIES ARE DUMPED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AFTER BEING TORTURED AND EXECUTED BY ASSAD’S FORCES. Homs (Dier Balba’a): May 14, 2012 - In order to spread terror amongst local residents, Assad’s forces regularly abduct Syrians off the street or from their homes, torture them, then execute them and dump them on the side of the road. The message is “Stop your protests for freedom or else”
President Bashar Assad’s regime has launched a new and sweeping arrest campaign of opposition activists and intellectuals in the past few weeks, according to Western analysts and diplomats.
The growing tally of arrests has gone largely unnoticed, overshadowed by the daily violence that threatens to jeopardize the U.N. peace plan. But in combination, both are undermining the already faint hopes of peace.
“It’s a political decapitation,” says Chris Doyle, director of the London-based Council for Arab-British Understanding. Doyle is monitoring the arrests and believes the regime aims to eliminate negotiating partners from what he calls “the rational opposition.”

***LEAKED VIDEO*** ASSAD’S FORCES DETAIN, ASSAULT AND HUMILIATE FOUR MEN AT A CHECKPOINT. At one of the thousands of checkpoints across Syria, some manned by no more than teenaged Assad supporters with AK-47’s, four men are detained and assaulted and accused of any crime their captors can think of.
This is the fate of tens of thousands of Syrians on a daily basis.
Thanks @SyriaArchives
***GRAPHIC*** THE BODIES OF FOUR MEN ARE FOUND DUMPED IN A FIELD - SOME ARE ALREADY ROTTING. Aleppo (Aza’az): May 6, 2012 - These men, all of whom are unidentified as of the date of the video, were abducted by Assad’s forces in this small city north of Aleppo city, were bound, then executed and dumped in a field. You can clearly see the faces of one of the men, badly decomposed with maggots eating his face…
Only in Syria.
Thanks @SyriaDayofRage
***VERY GRAPHIC*** A TRULY AWFUL WAY TO DIE - TORTURED TO DEATH AT THE HANDS OF ASSAD’S FORCES. Hama (Jisr Al Mazareb): May 5, 2012 - No ID was found on this body. He was dumped on the road by Assad’s forces after he was abducted and brutally tortured - for no other reason than to terrify and scare the local citizens to stop protesting for freedom.
How many more people across Syria must share this man’s fate?
Syrian government forces killed at least 95 civilians and burned or destroyed hundreds of houses during a two-week offensive in northern Idlib governorate shortly before the ceasefire, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. The attacks happened in late March and early April, as United Nations special envoy Kofi Annan was negotiating with the Syrian government to end the fighting.

***GRAPHIC & DISTURBING ***LEAKED VIDEO*** ASSAD’S FORCES DRAG A MAN THROUGH THE STREETS TIED TO THE BACK OF A CAR. Homs: (Date Unknown) - This is what Assad’s forces are allowed to do in Assad’s Syria. Only they could drive through town with the body of a man being dragged behind it. Unfortunately, he would most probably have been alive when they started off.
As they drive through town they scream at people who attempt to get close “Back Off!” they shout. When they stop they exclaim “this is what happens to traitors!” in the unmistakable tone of Assad’s thugs.
They did this in order to terrorize the citizens into stopping their protests for freedom.
Only in Syria …
***LEAKED VIDEO*** “I SWEAR TO GOD I DONT WANT FREEDOM!” - IS WHAT THIS BOY TELLS HIS INTERROGATORS AS THEY BEAT AND HUMILIATE HIM. - In this leaked video clip taken by Assad’s thugs, they have a young boy in the back of a car and begin to humiliate, threaten and beat him. They even use a taser on him.
Assad’s thugs repeatedly force the boy to ‘confess’ that he is an armed gunman, that he owns a gun and that he fired on them. They force him to give them the names of all his friends and to ‘admit’ that they too are gunmen. They also force him to confess that he protested and ask him if he wants freedom, to which he replies “i swear i dont want freedom!”
They also tell him repeatedly that they will rape his sister and force him to agree that they will rape her.
These are Assad’s men. This is what they do. These are the people that Assad’s supporters look up to and respect.
Thanks @NMSyria
THE CHILDREN OF SYRIA (GRAPHIC) - A group of activists in the United Kingdom stopped people in the street and showed them a few pictures of children in Syria who were killed and tortured by Assad’s forces.
